In Upstate South Carolina, March can sometimes feel like a holding pattern until spring—but not this year! Between the incredible weather we’ve been having, St. Patrick’s Day and Easter, there are plenty of things to look forward to this month. Check out what’s on the calendar for St. Patrick’s Day in Greenville!
St. Paddy’s Day Dash & Bash
March 12, from 7am
Fluor Field, 945 S Main Street, Greenville, SC
This 5K Kids’ Fun Run will benefit local children’s charities, including Make-A-Wish South Carolina. Use code MAWSC to receive $5 off your registration fee! You can also register the day of the race, starting from 7:30am. The race begins at 9am and goes through downtown Greenville. See the course map here. The after party at Fluor Field will include a silent auction, costume contest and live music.
St. Patrick’s Day Kiltfest
March 12, from 2pm
The Playwright, 401 River St, Ste 100, Greenville, SC
The Playwright is one of Greenville’s newest Irish restaurants—and it’s getting great reviews. Join them tomorrow for their first annual Kiltfest. Wear your kilt and bring the kids for daytime family-friendly activities. There will be green beer and drink specials all night, as well as live music from Greenville’s The Accidentally Irish Lads and Atlanta’s ThunderGypsy.
Return to the Green Irish Festival

Greenville’s “original” Irish party turns 21 this year. Admission is free and children’s activities are free. There will even be a $500 cash prize giveaway!

Here’s one for the pet lovers! Dogs of all sizes are welcome. (As food will be present, please no aggressive dogs.) Start at Soby’s for a cocktail, then move on to Lazy Goat and Mac’s Speed Shop.
